I have a combined Mixer/CDJ set that i'm starting out with it supports additional timecodes and an amp.

I was wondering if i could combine this with the numark Stereo iO and Virtual dj to use the decks in Virtual dj and retain the mixer of the unit.
Cheers

It's hard to tell from the small pictures, but unless this unit has separate outputs for the left and right CD players, then it cannot be used to control VirtualDJ via timecode CD. For timecode, separate outputs from each CD player are required to send the timecode signal into a suitable 4-in/4-out sound card such as Hercules DJ Trim, Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ or 8 DJ, ESI Maya44, etc. Numark DJIO lacks the required inputs and is unsuitable for timecode use.
These types of unit are normally designed and intended for stand-alone use only without a computer. They will normally only have master output (To an amp), record output and line inputs (For external devices), so are unsuitable for timecode use with DJ software. They are also not MIDI capable, so cannot control the software directly.
However, if you are only looking to use it as a standard audio DJ mixer for VirtualDJ (I.e: Control the software with your mouse/keyboard and use the hardware mixer to manipulate manipulate volume, bass/high EQ, etc. of the audio coming from the VirtualDJ decks only), then it can be used for this purpose. Simply connect the output from your sound card to the line inputs on the back of the mixer. The Numark DJIO is a good choice of sound card for this purpose.
NOTE: The on-screen mixer controls in VirtualDJ will not move when you use the hardware mixer - As above, it is not a MIDI controller and cannot control VirtualDJ in any way.)
For external mixer use, you will need the following:
* VirtualDJ Professional or VirtualDJ Basic: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html / http://www.virtualdj.com/products/basic.html
(Home and limited editions do not support the 'External Mixer' sound output option for two separate deck outputs - They allow Master + Headphones only using the on-screen software mixer built into VirtualDJ itself.)
NOTE: VirtualDJ Basic is cheaper. However, it does not support MIDI controllers, timecode and full screen video/karaoke. It is ideal if you will only be using your mouse and keyboard for mixing.
* A DJ sound card with at least two outputs such as Numark DJIO, Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ or a surround sound card (You can use the front and rear outputs for the two decks.)
A similar alternative product that can control VirtualDJ is the Numark MixDeck - This has CD players and a built-in hardware mixer, but can also act as a MIDI controller to control VirtualDJ.
