Tópico: How to add to Sonique? - Page: 1

I asked this question in the VDJ Plugins section, but it looks like no one really checks in too much in that area, so I am asking in here :)

I read in some places that you just add the files to the VDJ/Sonique folder.... but I dont have that folder!

Help? lol

Hi,

If you've downloaded the pack of .svp files then you don't need to put them in a certain place any more. I think you just go to the plugin and click on the "open" button or whatever it's called and navigate to the folder full of them, click on one and that's it.

Sorry I don't have VDJ in front of me now, so I can't check, but I think that's about right!
 
Add the Sonique folder to vdj/plugin/video effects folder.
 
Making the folder didn't work, and when I click open on the screen it just clicks, it doesn't go to any file locations or anything.

Is there something I could use besides Sonique that has visualizations that change and/or move with the beat for when I play an audio track? Right now I have to use the slideshow, and thats pretty lame lol.
 
I answered it all on your other thread Bro.at one point i got totally into soniques and researched the fact that there was a newr version coming up (v.2) but you have to start here before you can start messing with other possibilities that are not yet made "user-friendly" ....and at this point only soniques are the only "sound reacting Visuals" you're gonna get...pm me if you need more help...that all...

did you read the tutorial i put up for you.
 
Please start with Tayla's tutorial, and see what happens. There has to be something you are not doing right. This plug-in works for everyone else, why not for you?

I did read the tutorial, and I even watched the video. I did IT stuff for a living once upon a time, so this isn't exactly killing my brain.

You guys are failing to see when I say "When I push 'Open' nothing happens. It just clicks down and doesn't do anything at all."
So it has nothing to do with what I am doing right or wrong. I would guess it's very easy if the open button worked, but like I said, I tried different skins, moved the folder, checked the .ini file for Sonique... everything I can think of. Still not working. I could try to get some kind of video screen capture program if you guys don't know what I mean.

When I push the Effects tab, then Video Effects, then Sonique.... and I tried by activating and then pushing open, and also pushing open without pushing activate, and then pushing open, then activate, then open again.... and all had the same result.

The open button just click-click-clicked, and failed to do anything else.

ALSO.... once the "ACTIVATE" button is pressed on Sonique, I can not "UN" activate it. Meaning the button stays white no matter how many times I push on it. I have to move to another effect and then come back to it to make it not activated.


Thank you very much for all the help, but please trust me when I tell you that it has nothing to do with whether or not I read a tutorial. It is definitely broken, and I can only guess that the .dll file is corrupted or has some data missing.

This sucks!
 
Tracker thought it would help if I posted what controller im using, computer stats, etc.

VDJ PRO 7.0.3
Denon S-MC6000 controller

Desktop PC that I built... only stating that so no one asks me if its Dell or HP or something like that. (-;

One (1) Western Digital 300gb VelociRaptor 10,000 Main Hard Drive
Two (2) Western Digital 2-Terabyte 7,200RPM Storage Hard Drives

If there is anything else anyone needs to help me solve this, please let me know!
 
got to ask, did you look at my last post concerning unzipping the files... if you have thats another one struck off the list

If you want look me up on Skype at Firetext.VDJ.Support and I'll look in on your screen and see if I can see whats happening.
 
Yes, I know how to unzip, unrar, untar, unjar, etc.

There are 72 SVP files in there and one .DS_Store file.
I put the \Sonique\ folder with all the svp files in the vdj\plugins\videoeffect\ folder.

I tried to do a repair of VDJ7, and it did nothing, so then I completely reinstalled VDJ7 and added the Sonique folder again just as above... Still the same thing, the Open button did nothing at all. The "Slide Show" button lights up just fine, the "Activate" button works...sssometimes, but the "Open" button still just clicked happily away, doing nothing.

I have pretty much given up on Sonique at this point :(
 
Ok I'm done... didn't mean if I did to come across as insulting, just asking questions to tick off the list to see where the problem could be.
 
Oh no no no no, not you at all. I'm sorry if I made you feel that way, it was literally my frustration with the plugin coming through in my typing.
So sorry if I made you think that. :(

Well just upgraded to 7.0.3 and it does the same thing for me. I can see all the buttons click on activate then click on open and nothing happens................hmmm.............what to do................

Is slideshow selected? I just looked at my laptop that has 7.03 installed & Vista, and it works fine. I was just getting ready to install 7.03 on my gig machine, which has XP. Will let you know what happens.
 
For me I tried it both ways, slide show highlighted and unhighlighted. It just wont open when I click on open.

Just installed 7.0.3 on my gig machine with XP, and all is well with Sonique. How about trying to re-download 7.0.3, and do a fresh install, and see what happens.
 
To those of you having problems with the Open button not working, I posted a workaround somewhere else a while back.

Edit your Sonique.ini file and edit the line:

String filename 4=


to point to somewhere:

String filename 4=c:\test.svp


The open button will now work again. The test.svp file doesn't actually have to exist btw.
