Tema: Cool little mapping for loop_move

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Since the general forum has become the everything forum it seems like I should post this here... Anyway what this code will do is first check how long the current loop is down to one bar and it will move it backwards or forwards within the timeline the same length as the current loop e.g if you have a 4 bar loop it will move 4 bars, 8 bar loop will move 8 bars etc... You will need to change the end bit to what the button does already, but I suggest a seek button or similar. Finally it will only work if you are using the auto loops or smart looping

loop backwards
deck 1 loop 1 ? deck 1 loop_move -1 : deck 1 loop 2 ? deck 1 loop_move -2 : deck 1 loop 4 ? deck 1 loop_move -4 : deck 1 loop 8 ? deck 1 loop_move -8 : deck 1 loop 16 ? deck 1 loop_move -16 : deck 1 loop 32 ? deck 1 loop_move -32 : whatever you want the button to do when not looping

I have made two variations of forward for you to choose from. The first one will move the loop forward but the track will need to catch up. The second will move the track and the loop forward in time so you will instantly be in the next section at the same point in the loop It kind of keeps the loop feeling when your listening to it.

loop forwards 1
deck 1 loop 1 ? deck 1 loop_move +1 : deck 1 loop 2 ? deck 1 loop_move +2 : deck 1 loop 4 ? deck 1 loop_move +4 : deck 1 loop 8 ? deck 1 loop_move +8 : deck 1 loop 16 ? deck 1 loop_move +16 : deck 1 loop 32 ? deck 1 loop_move +32 : whatever you want the button to do when not looping

loop forwards 2
deck 1 loop 1 ? deck 1 loop_move +1 & goto +1 : deck 1 loop 2 ? deck 1 loop_move +2 & goto +2 : deck 1 loop 4 ? deck 1 loop_move +4 & goto +4 : deck 1 loop 8 ? deck 1 loop_move +8 & goto +8 : deck 1 loop 16 ? deck 1 loop_move +16 & goto +16 : deck 1 loop 32 ? deck 1 loop_move +32 & goto +32 : whatever you want the button to do when not looping

Sorry - wrong place to post it. I have moved it here to the Hardware forum where it belongs.

Haha sorry I was doing it to be cheeky, the general forum seems to have lost its general topics lately...
