Hey guys this is my first go at TCV and DJing with software. Currently my setup is
2x Tech 1200s
Rane TTM 56
Virtual DJ 7
Maya44 USB
Serato CV02B TCV
I'm pretty sure I've got everything hooked up right and I've tried two variations. Right now I've got two Y splitters creating two female connections at each turn table. One set goes into the Maya input and the other phono in on the mixer for each turntable. I've tried removing the Y splitters with the same results. The Maya44 out goes back to each line in on the mixer. Anyway I've got Virtual DJ 7 configured correctly and when I go to use the TMV all I hear is a high pitched noise coming from the vinyl. And if I switch my mixer to phono I hear the same noise coming through the amp. If I switch it back to the line in and turn the TCV off on virutal DJ 7 my music will play through the mixer. I just can't control it with the vinyl. In TVC debuging there is 0% signal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Now after doing some fiddling and setting things back to my original setup with the y splitters in the time coding debugging it says Silence for both channels

Alright so I was able to get some manipulation after turning up the gains in the time coding debug settings. Unfortunately it's far from good quality. The %'s are jumping all over the place and the sound is very distorted. If I stop the record in any way the computer end goes crazy and starts spinning the computer decks like mad which does come out the master. hahaha. Does anyone think it's an issue that my tables are in their flight cases still? Will that throw off the time coded signal? Any suggestions? Thank ahead.

Also after looking at the setup guide, I can't seem to achieve a circle on the waveform image. It's just a solid line for the most part. The setup guide says it's poor cable connection or no signal. All my cables are new and connected fine.

What version of VDJ are you using?

VDJ7. I've achieved 100% on both channels(however the wave form in debugging is still a straight line and not a circle) and can get the TMV to control the music but unfortunately it doesn't do it very well. Starting and stopping works fine but if I touch the record or try to cue anything it skips on the wave form and wont stay put. Then if I backspin the record at speed the tracks plays fowards just fine on the computer end. Any suggestions? I've been thinking about getting new styli for my M447s

Sorry I mean which version of 7 have you got 7.0.0 / 7.0.1 / 7.0.2 / 7.0.3 / 7.0.4.
Plus if you register your software you will more than likely have more people willing to help you out ;-).

First off get rid of the "Y" splitters, there's no need for those, next run your rcas from your turntables into the "INPUT" side of the Maya44. Now run rcas from the "OUTPUT" side of the Maya44 into the line-in on your mixer. Now that's done.........next open VDJ and start the turntables and take a screen shot of your config screen so we can see whats going on...........and if you can ditch the Serato vinyl and get Traktor or the Numark Virtual Vinyl timecodes, I've never had success with the Serato vinyl in my experiences.
Do those steps and report back

It's version 7.0 (b342)
The Y splitters are gone. The reason I wanted to use them was so I could style spin vinyl by just switching to phono on the mixer. Everything is hooked up correctly now and I'm getting 100% out of both tables with pretty good manipulation. Unfortunately there's a lot of snapping and crackling going on too. Here's a few pics from the debugging screen

Ok its obvious you don't understand what those boxes you have checked are for so read the manual or just hover you mouse or them, you shouldn't need any of them checked. Maybe the disable clearsound........now into the "Performance" tab and that first box click on it and pick the highest and uncheck safemode if you have it checked. Now your sound should clear up. Once it clears up keep lower the number until you get the crackle again and then go 2 above that and you should be good. And turn your gain down a tad. Also to switch to real vinyl, just hit the "Timecode Bypass" button on the skin...........the manual is your friend, lol!
Also you should register your copy and update your software to the newest version.......
Let me know if it works
