Tópico: CDJ 2000 vs 1200's

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello All,

I need some feedback on my current set-up vs. a possible new set up. I scratch, beat-match, and loop often in my sets. Often times I find the timecode set-up in VDJ Pro to be bothersome -meaning I just cant simply plug and play-or maybe i'm missing a step-like saving settings or something. It seems that I have to set-up early enough to ensure the stability of my timecodes (Serato V2). I love to scratch and I've been using my 1200's for over 20 years. The RMX does the job but I would prefer a cross fader that allows me to transform and contour the cut. I have an opportunity to come up on a pair of CDJ 2000's.

My current set-up is:
Mac Book Pro 8 gig ram 2.66 Processor
Hercules RMX
VDJ Pro v7
2-Technic 1200 MKII

New Potential Set-up:
Same Mac Book Pro
Rane TT56
VDJ Pro v7
2-Pioneer CDJ 2000

Here are my concerns:
How close/good is the CDJ 2000 scratch compared to a 1200?
I'm pretty certain that the Rane is far more better for scratching than the RMX-but are there any scripts that have been written to make the RMX cross fader perform like the Rane corss fader?
How compatiable is the Rane with VDJ Pro?

Please let m eknow your thoughts.

Can't speak for the Rane, but I have used CDJ2000 and I actually started on the Technics 1200 back in the day. Also I have to say that I am not a scratch DJ, but I do scratch every so often.

The feel of the CDJ2000 is not similar to the 1200's. It felt dead to my fingers. I ended up getting a Denon DNS3700 instead. The spinning platter is a good emulation of the 1200. It is less expensive and same if not more feature than the CDJ 2000

Most of the clubs I have DJ'd at had Pioneers, and I always opted to bring my own gear, the Denon DNS3700's.

Thanks xcakid!

Ill have to look into the Denons.

I used have two pioneer cdj 1000mk3's abd i sold it to buy the denon 3700's. The decks are really good. The platter is nice in size and it feels great. Check out proaudiostar.com for the denons. They have great prices
