Tópico: Please help... serato crates problem

My serato crates have just disappeared mysteriously... I only see a few showing up for the main crates and the subcrates.. I organise most of my set in serato in order to switch between the softwares seamlessly... Please help .. I reinstalled vdj and did memory clean and still not all the crates are showing up....

try adding ur crates to the search database, and then do the check, clean and fix
 
and if ur using it vdj 7 and higher, You activate it in config/browser tab,
 
Crates are checked in the config and the crates were visible and useable up until yesterday. How do you add crate to search database?
 
just choose the folder you have all the crates in the explorer window on the left and then right click -> add to search database
 
ok.. I did that.. no joy...

it's strange because it was working before and just suddenly went.. now I cant get it back.. only 3 crates show out of about 20...
 
u didnt rearrange the crates did u?
 
I constantly add and update the crates... it never used to be a problem... its really strange...
 
i am at work right now, will go check my laptop at home andsee if there is anything else you can do

what about right click on the crates and hit reload
 
I did that too... didn't work.... I just found the problem though..... my hard drive is partitioned in 2.. operating system and apps on 1 and music and video on the other... vdj was looking in the serato folder in my music for the crates... the actual files were on d: which is the second partition. What I did to solve the problem was to delete everything that crates and subcrates folder in my music. After doing that vdj automatically found the crates which were actually on the d:

Hi there, I have all my serato music in partition D as well, i deleted the folders crate and subcrates in my music folder, after copying everything in scrtatchLive in the my music folder. However no hope. My VDJ 5.2 doesn't read the crates. Any other idea?

This is probably because Serato changed their Database name / path structure. In the latest version 7.4 it's working withour issues.

As this part is hardcoded in your Virtual DJ version there is nothing you can do to fix it.

If you like - you could upgrade your version to our Professional Full one - which should work without issues and also reserves you the free update to our new upcoming version 8.
