Hi there. I've got a 4mx, latest version of vdj and a high spec laptop. I'm very happy with the product however I find gain control to be inconvenient so much that I have to just stay well clear of it. In that i find its not that responsive. If I want to pickup the gain by turning the knob I almost always have to go over the desired amount. And by pick up I mean so that I can change it. This becomes more annoying if I want to decrease the gain and not boost it. Even with the slightest hand movements I find the only way to pick up the gain is to go over the the point at which it's already at. Why can't my gain stay where it is on every track or increase and decrease when ever I want much like the 'eq' controls. The eq controls stay where they are even when I load a new track why can't gain do the same? I don't mind constantly manually setting it back to zero. But having to shift the gain knob past a certain point so that it can 'pick up' seems a bit poo. Can the gain function be changed in the way I want?
