I did some searching on this forum and read that I need a surround sound card or a mixer to broadcast more than the stereo mix. I'm wondering whats the cheapest/best way to get the microphone in an online broadcast.
Im guessing a virtual audio device will not sufficiently mix the channels into stereo, but im not really sure, is there a way to downmix the microphone into the stereo mix with a virtual audio device such as soundflower.
You can tell im fairly new to audio mixing and would like to get my new microphone broadcasting online in the mix. Is there a way to software mix the microphone into the main stereo mix or would i have to buy a hardware mixer?

If you already own a mixer with Mic, the Audio2DJ soundcard will be good and cheap at the same time.
Nessesary is for further steps the Pro Basic or the Pro Full!

Then connect the mixer/record/booth output with the LineIn from your Mac and setup the Advanced Config additional with the action Record Loopback!
Now VDJ route the Linein to the broadcast section and so to your lsiteners.

Am I right in thinking that either of these will do the trick?

Also, why is most of this board in caps?
