I bought a Numark DJ/IO to use with my Hercules MP3 E2 controller, Virtual DJ LE software (packaged with Hercules controller), and Stanton RM-80 external mixer, but cannot get Virtual DJ configured to play through the external mixer properly. All I get is a distorted sound through one of the speakers. Does anyone know how to configure Virtual DJ LE with the DJ/IO sound card to play through the mixer and allow headphone monitoring? Is that just a pipe dream of mine?

I have not got VDJ on this computer but from memory I think this is what you need to do -
In sound settings :
leave the first setting to computer.
on the second setting select external mixer with 2 inputs.
Then on the third setting select aiso - the other setting that pops up to the right of it select numark and tick the ultra low latency box.
On the DJIO plug output 1 to Ch1 on the mixer and output 2 to Ch2 on the mixer.
hope this helps,
Ian

Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/DJIO.html
You will need to configure it for Internal software mixer - VirtualDJ LE is limited software and does not support outputting two decks separately to an external mixer. If you need this capability, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
