I have been altering the default mapping of the NS6 and it seems that Master Tempo LED and on/off (loop control) LED doesn't show in the mapping list. I understand that most of the LED's on the surface do not output midi and therefore always on however both these LED's turn on and off so I assume they can be used. BLEEP LED and REVERSE LED light the same LED on & off.

First I changed your topic title since you are referring to the NS6 - the unit is not HID
Now as to your question -
The the LEDs are mappable - but you have to select them manually from the top right drop-down list.
So click the [+] plus button in the bottom left - then in the top right select the appropriate LED_* entry that you need to map.
There are default assignments made as part of the definition so that they work with what ever is assigned to the associated button. If you change the mapping for the button and make it MORE complex - then you will need to change the mapping of the LED_* as well.
