Hello,
I'm just getting back into this and I picked up a mixtrck pro and upgraded to virtual dj pro but my laptop is not recogning the controller. When I hook it up to my laptop I get all the lights and it says drivers succesfully installed but when I launch VDJ nothing. The drivers that my laptop show is a genric usb compsite driver but it says mixtrack pro after the driver install is complete.
Any know issues or something I should be looking for during the install. Most everything I found says it should be plug n play usb.
Thanks!

There may be a MIDI conflict on your system - Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/midinotdetected.html - Logitech Webcam drivers commonly cause this problem.
Also, make sure that you have the latest VirtualDJ Pro installed - Register your Pro serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then go to http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

Thanks,
I took a look at that post and even ran the script that makes those changes to the reg etc. I've never had any logitech devices attached to my pc at all but I still gave it a try. At this point the mixTrack pro is still not being recognized by my laptop when I launch VDJ. I have a MIDI (MIDI-OX) utility that I ran just to make sure the controller is in fact know to the system and it is.
I'm running WIN 7 32 bit on a dell if that helps at all. Oh yea and all of my ghost devices are gone too....not sure what else to try. Crazy frustrating!
I have another laptop that's a lenovo running Win 7 Pro 64 bit and the same thing...am I just missing something is there something I have to configure in the VDJ software...I'm rrunning 7.x.x version of VDJ.
Thanks again and sorry for the repeate post, I did search but everything I found has not worked so far!

That should be OK - That's the latest version of LE for the MixTrack Pro.
Does it send any MIDI messages in MIDIox when you press buttons? If so, post an example of what it sends when you press the left PLAY button.
(Make sure that you close MIDIox and any other MIDI applications before starting VirtualDJ, otherwise it will not be able to communicate with the MixTrack.)
