Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hi All,

Help needed please, I have installed the DDJ S1 Mapper from vdj.com however the jog wheels do not scratch ?

Vinyl mode is on..

I saw somewhere that someone had to enter something like %50 in the MIDI Mapping for the Jog Wheel?

Any advice would be great as i dont really want to use Itch software :O(

Many Thanks

Cerrie.

get the registry tool and change the default scratch latency to around 1020, there is a video on heuy's (beatbreaker's) blog of how to do it.

you also need to ensure that vinyl mose is on, there is a button on the default skin in the scratch panel, or you can set it in config, or map a key to "vinyl_mode"

Audio drops are from the audio settings being set to fast for you system. Just because one settings works with out software doesn't mean the same settings will work with another. Also, you need to read the Itch forums about this product and the 'audio' drop issues. And you do not need the downloadable mapper if you are using the lastest version of VirtualDJ.

Thanks for the info ..

Would you advise uninstalling the mapper i download and just use the one with VDJ latest version?

I will play with the latency settings and test it, just figured it worked fine with the VMS4 so should with any MIDI controller, Doh.

I would use the built in mapper. Just delete the DDJ-S1 files from the VirtualDJ\Devices and VirtualDJ\Mappers folders.

Thanks Mate,

Works so much better now, i can at least fast-forward and re-wind.

However its still no where near usable to scratch with or even cue a track with any accuracy.

Any more advice ????

Thanks :)

PS the unit is soo responsive with Serato Itch, If i put my finger on the platter the track will tremble. The Pioneer DDJ-S1 actually has 9720 clicks per revolution so i know it dead accurate, Must just be a software setting.. right??

Really ?

Posted this before ... same mix performance shot from 2 angles

DDJ-S1 Scratch Sample (Right Side)

** Disclaimer ... I am not a scratch DJ - this is just a demonstration of the jog 'control' not a technique demonstration

Thanks you everyone for your help and advice.

I dont want to but looks like im gonna have to give up on VirtualDJ while using the DDJ S1 as it just will not respond with any kind of accuracy at all :(

I too can not get it to react right. i have all the settings as suggested its in vinyl mode latency at 1024 etc and it just won't scratch. i have to rotate the platter a full 360 degrees just to move it back 1 beat. i have tried using different settings in the registry too for midi latency hid latency and nothing works.

can someone clue in with some ideas?

also cstoll if i adjust my platter sens yes i can get it to move like the rubs you were doing but i cut, crab, scratch etc so i need it more responsive. not just moveable. i didn't really hear you do any cuts were as to bring in back before the sound and chirp or just stab it in. do you have issues with that kind with those settings?

The link above is the mapper for the Denon DN-S1200....is that the same mapper used for the Pioneer DDJ-S1?

Mensajes Tue 15 May 12 @ 8:40 am
No, it's not the same. The link above is a search on the controller mappers page for the term: s1

So it finds a user-made mapper for the Denon DN-S1200 and at the original time of posting, would have found a mapper for DDJ-S1.

However, the DDJ-S1 mapper is no-longer available to download separately because it's now natively built into the latest version of VirtualDJ Pro. Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ%20Controllers.html
