I am trying to get this controller to work with a controller I just got, and I have tried mapping it in the normal VDJ, and nothing, everything I seem to try to map to it only goes to one side.
In the LE edition, it dosen't work at all, as soon as I load up the LE version, all the lights go off on the controller and nothing as well. I downloaded the program from the downloads page as well.
I am very new to this and I was just trying to play around until I could afford to get the pro version. And now I have no clue on what to do. Please help!

plug it in before you open vdj iff that doesnt work let me know ill email you a config file that a buddy made for me when i was having issues

You're trying to make a controller work with a controller?!
It would help a lot if you actually told us WHICH controller(s) you are trying to use...
The VDJ version which is supplied with certain hardware will only work with that hardware - so if you're trying to make the Mixtrack VDJ version work with another controller - it won't.
Also, the FREE version of VDJ won't work with ANY controllers at all. That's why it's free. It's only for use with a computer (no hardware).
If you use your Mixtrack with the Mixtrack version of VDJ LE, you should have no problems. It's all pre-mapped.

Ahh, no sorry that was a mistype on my part. I meant "I am trying to get this program to work with a controller I just got"
And, the thing is, I am using the CD they gave me with the controller but it's not sensing it; so then I downloaded the file that was on the VDJ site and nothing. It was plugged in before I opened the LE version. So I don't get that.
The is my first time doing this, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The free version that I got, it does have a option for mapping, but I can only set one side of it for it. (other side will not work or map right).
Eventually I want to use this (if I can figure out how to map it) as a replacement for SAMBC. But I wanted to try out all this before I go ahead and buy the full version. (I am on a very limited budget as it is and don't want to invest into something that wont work with what I got)
SAMBC was pricey enough for me as it is. But I want to go further and actually learn how to mix music and whatnot, maybe even actually DJ at live events (if I ever get that good XD)

Sorry but you're going to have to use much clearer English if we're going to get to the bottom of this:

Did you buy it new? If you bough it used, perhaps the VDJ LE version that they supplied is not the one which originally came with it.
The free version that you got.... WHICH ONE? Be specific! You say it's got an option for mapping - well that can't be the true 'free' version, as that version doesn't support external controllers.
And the 'free' version that comes with the controller will (should) be specifically designed to work with it, so you shouldn't need to do any mapping.

I got at first the Numark Mixtrak (without the audio card), then went ahead and exchanged it for the Mixtrak Pro (with the soundcard built in just a couple days ago), This one worked fine, the LE for the Pro Mixtrak version worked no problems. Recognized and I was able to use it.
Now my issue is: I had activated the 20 day trial for the VDJ Pro, was good for the first day, loved it. Then today is says the trial expired (I am only on 1 day used for the trial, so why would it expire? Is it because I had the free version installed prior to all this?)
I just traded in the controller for the one with the built-in sound card a couple days ago after trying to toy with the program and not getting it to work. I never activated the trial from the other controller
I am confused now =\ I tried to uninstall both the LE and Free version but it still says the trial expired ... which I never used the full 20 days to begin with ...
