Hi Everyone,
no doubt this has been asked a million times and probably a simple answer but I cant for life of me figure it.
So I have Virtual DJ 7 and I just cannoy Sync any tracks. I load both virtual decks with exactly the same track sysn them to same BPM, then when I start the track it almost instantly begins wondering off sync.
How do I stop this "un-syncing" happening. It makes doing a mix completely impossible as the beats wont stay matched. Both BPM counters show the same, i hit start on deck 2 click syn to get it tight up the fader and by time I dont that its wandering off.
HELLLLPPPP!!

To be blunt - learn to DJ!
Don't rely on the software, learn how to keep two tracks running in sync yourself.

Its pillocks like you, that forums like this, probably do not need! I can perfectly well DJ both vinyl and CD and am without doubt a far more accomplished DJ than you could ever dream to me! I have a technical issue with the Virtual DJ setup not keeping Sync! Smart comments from people like you do not help places like this! There is a forum here to help people, not for half wit wanna be DJs like you to make smart comments about other peoples DJing ability! Now do me a favour and DO ONE off my posting while I speak to real people about real issues!!

I agree with groovin, the real issue is people relying on sync far too much.
but there have been some issues in vdj in past versions, register your copy so you can update to the latest version, the bugs have been ironed out as far as most things are concerned. This may be the problem...

You're not going to get much help if you speak to people like that, Neil.
I'm no half wit wannabe or pillock either. Going by info in your profile, I've got at least 10 years on you.
If you're such a great DJ that you can claim to be better than me without even seeing me DJ, then you'll know all there is to know about beat matching, BPMs and tempo already, so why are you complaining that the software isn't holding your hand?

I think if you read back you will see that you sir were laying the "abuse" down first telling me to learn to DJ. I am not here to argue with you or anyone else for that matter!. i did NOT come here to learn to DJ, I came here to understand WHY the virtual DJ I use does not hold sync once it has been correctly synced! I also did not come here to listen to some egotistical moron who thinks he is the worlds authority on DJing technology tell me I should learn to DJ!
As for not getting replies "speaking like that", I hope there are other users who use forums for there intended purpose, which is to collaborate and help others in making the most out of the software. I would suggest you keep your own opinions to yourself and dont think that you are the worlds voice on all things DJing. To be quite frank I couldnt care less if you were David Guetta with 100 years experience in your pubs and mobile discos, my reponse still sticks.
As previously mentioned id prefer for you not to litter my posting with your meaningless drivel and Jog On!

Synthetic.... many thanks for your reply.
To be honest I currently do not own my own copy. I am just pllayinng with it at a friends house who has it until I decide if I want to buy a copy of it. It looks ok from first glance, but for the life of me cannot understand why once the tracks are synced (even the same track on both decks) almost instantly goes off beat when they both play. The BPM is exactly the same on both decks but the wandering is a mystery.

You see my comment of "don't rely on the software" as abuse????

Really? Going by the wording in your responses so far, I'd say the opposite.

There you go again. Is that really necessary? You're really not showing yourself in a very positive light here.
I don't know where you got the idea that I think I'm "the world's authority" on DJing.
Please tell me where I've said that. Anywhere. Ever.
Of the two of us, it's YOU who appears to have an overinflated ego.
"Meaningless drivel"? "Jog on"?
And you say you're 40 years old? Most 40 year olds I know conduct themselves in a far more civilised manner.
Mensajes Fri 25 Nov 11 @ 5:37 pm
Let's be civil here please. Let it go and everybody move on.
This is a positive, helpful community and neither of you are contributing to that.
