Choose your songs and drag them into the playlist section. (Far right)
Once you have finished your selection, right click the button for playlist management.
This will be in the playlist column under "title".
Then click save. A screen will pop up, now just name your playlist and save it.

Sorry, VirtualDJ LE is limited software and does not support playlists or automix (Except during the 20 day trial of the full Pro) - Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
If you would like these features and much, much, more, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

After you've created a playlist, you need to look at the folder tree on the left under the Playlist folder. You'll need to either recourse the folder structure or get out then get back in for VDJ to see the folder.

If you already have the playlist set up, I cant find an easy way to edit the playlist. I have a list of about 30 songs to make a mix but wanted to go into the playlist to edit and add or take away songs. How is this done, not finding a how to on this, thanks.

VirtualDJ LE doesn't support using playlists except during the 20 day trial, so maybe this expired? See: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

I have the VDJ Pro 7.0.5 but are not able to create a playlist. I can't activate the Playlist-folder in any way, neither right-clicking, unfolding it nor anything. Neither can I drag any songs to the playlist section in the right. So how do I create a playlist with this fully licenced professional edition?

Where are you dragging songs from?
What happens when you try?

I created a playlist.
saved it
closed the program to test it.
re-opened it.
and the song titles and authors were gone...

If they are from NetSearch or ContentUnlimited, please see:

They are from my external hard drive.
Mensajes Fri 22 Mar 13 @ 12:48 pm
does that matter???
The purpose of using my external hard drive is to save space on my computers hard drive.

Shouldn't make any difference if they are on an internal or external drive. If they were live streamed from NetSearch/ContentUnlimited without caching first then they will turn into numbers instead of displaying artist, title, etc. because these songs don't exist as files on your hard disk.
However, if you are having issues with actual files on your disk, then make sure that they are tagged and named correctly - Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/I%20cannot%20see%20the%20artist%20name%20or%20song%20title%20in%20the%20VirtualDJ%20browser.html

After installing the product, and playing with my new Vestax, I'm pretty disappointed that the LE version does not include something as basic as playlists and autoplay. It would seem to be in the best interest for VDJ to include this basic functionality or at least offer some type of discount on Pro Basic to entice someone to promote VDJ. The $199 "special price" is not much of a value when I would never consider upgrading for feature bloat (not an insult to the software, the added functionality is just not needed). I can get Serato for the equivalent price (with coupon) of VDJ Pro Basic.
Considering LE generates the m3u files anyway, it's almost a little disingenuous that playlists/autoplay are not included since I would assume that the hardware manufacturer paid some type of royalty or promotional consideration for LE. I like the software a lot, but feel just a little aggravated at the slight.
my 2 cents. Thanks,
