Hey everyone, I am interested in purchasing a pair of novation dicers and wanted to know if it will work with an older version of VDJ. I own version 6 and I can't update. I purchased my software/hardware from someone but I can't contact them anymore for their info. I just need to know if they will work with Virtual DJ 6 before I make the purchase. Thanks.

If you own a legitimate version of VirtualDJ Pro then there is no reason why you can't upgrade (Unless you are a Mac user running MacOS Tiger that's no-longer supported.) Dicers are natively supported in the latest VirtualDJ Pro v7.0.5b.
Please register your Pro serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and download the latest version from: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
If you have not purchased VirtualDJ, then please support the software and its future development by purchasing a legitimate license: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
If you are a MacOS Tiger user, then there is a user-made v6 mapper available to registered licensed users that can be downloaded from: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/11828/Novation_Dicer_Def___Mapper.html
NOTE: If your VirtualDJ v6 is a LE (Limited Edition) or Console Edition that came with another hardware controller, then you will not be able to use any other hardware with it. VirtualDJ LE/Console Edition is only compatible with the controller that it original came with. To use other controllers, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro. There is usually a discount available, which you can receive by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and entering your LE serial number in the box provided.

Thanks but as I said. I have the full pro version but he gave it to me with the turntables I bought from him. It is licensed under his name but since then his number has changed and I can't get the number or anything. If I must, I have no problem with buying a new version but I need the dicers for a show coming up and would like to know if they will work with my version. That
s it. Thanks.

no dice with vdj6 sorry mate "pun intended" they are natively supported on the current version, so if you buy the full version they will work straight away... otherwise you will need to define and map them to work with vdj6

That is illegal. VirtualDJ licenses are non-transferable and cannot be sold, given or transferred to another user. Doing so is a violation of the End User License Agreement: http://www.virtualdj.com/atomixproductions/disclaimer.html
Please remove this illegal version immediately and purchase your own legitimate license for the software: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
Also, by using somebody else's version, you will not be entitled to any free upgrades or add-ons.
Dicers are natively supported in the latest version. You can try them out before purchasing for 10 minutes at a time in the latest VirtualDJ Home FREE: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html
Please support the software and its future development by purchasing it.
