Ok ... the concept of projection mapping is a cool concept and great for the architectual application like it was designed for.

But, does a DJ really need to project all that onto their gear?? Does it really help the DJ? It would only be a distraction - IMO.

looks kewl but slow to me. I think that circular waveform on a skin would be awesome, though.

Cool for customers DISTRACTING as a DJ I wouldnt want it ... gives me a migraine Just my opinion

that sums it up...

wow the spoils get worse and worse every day... smh

Projection mapping concept is good when it is used in the right way like the EMULATOR uses a short throw projector is mounted below the glass screen and projected up onto the glass making the SKIN image interface visible to both the DJ and the crowd but LOL... this Serato users simply did simply stupid useless idea on how to use it... Serato is struggling on how to open the soundcard routing and skinable interface he must do this two first before doing that useless things why jump to projection mapping? I can't imagine how DJ's manage eye strains on watching it during the set.

I would better make a skin for my setup in VDJ.... so there is no latency... but then the beamer must be always on the same position (relative to the gear)

But the circular waveform is really looking great.... but I would make 3 of them in a spiral, the middle would be this size and the two outer ones (one on each side) smaller....

And I would make the interactive cover art.....

All these would make it usefull for the DJ..... and not distracting at all...

I hope the circular wave will be possible in VDJ 8 and also the cover-art in the center (label)....

If a skin made for your gear, with the re-sizing possibilities of the VDJ8... it could be very useful, but only if the RIGHT visuals are working (and not the "Hey, I've got this stuff and it looks like an airplaine control" kind of stuff).

Also VDJ 8 could have use the 'Kinect' kind of controls available nowdays. (X-Y-Z effects for exaple)
Just an idea
