Tópico: Pioneer DDJ-ERGO VS. Numark Mixdeck?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Which one is a better- overall? I want to get one soon, because I'm gonna get VDJ this week. So which one is a higher quality, has better performance? Basically which is the best of the two lol. I use Virtual DJ Pro 7, and Traktor. I don't think the mixer on the mixdeck is MIDI, I think that the pioneer is (not sure). Mixdeck has a LED on screen to view tracks and etc. Pioneer doesn't, but I'll be using a laptop all the time anyway. Thanks in Advance.

If someone could point out the pros and cons in each, it would be greatly appreciated.

The pioneer ergo is Ok for begginners. One thing you have to consider about the ergo is, It doesnt use a power adpater. When a midi deck is USb powered, the output will be low and the headphone volume will be a challenge sometimes. The mixdeck is good because you have lots of options but, The mixer is not Midi. The jogs are alittle off when it comes to responsiveness also. If you want a midi deck that is great in price and works really good. Check out the Numark N4. it performs really good. The Jogs are good for non spinning platters and it has very good features for the price (499 & even less depending where you buy). The sound quality is very good and the buttons can take some abuse from a heavy handed Dj. It has a plastic design that some people don't like but overall, Its a very good deck for the price.

dude that is up to you but i would advise you to look further than mixdeck and the ergo. if your budget is within the range of mixdeck and ergo why not see the n4?

ergo works what the beginners want if that is what you are looking for? i would rather you get a mixtrack pro. beside that the ergo is made of plastic too, yes and beside that i think the monitorize platter and funky looking lights made it cost that price, to me it's not worth it. I researched a lot on that and i heard there is a mic latency problem in ergo (idk if there is software update or not.), which means echo.

the mixdeck is good in my opi but are you getting the quad or the normal one? well if you are not a mobile dj then choose the mixdeck because you don't have to midi it all the time, beside bringing laptop around for gigs might be pain in the *** for some people (: .

Just to clarify. The pioneer ergo DOES NOT have a motorized platter.

But the pioneer ergo is just overpriced (you are just paying for the name)

The whole thing is plastic and feels cheap so you might aswell save nearly £300 and buy a mixtrack pro.

But on the plus side if you do purchase the pioneer ergo and find all the flash lights anoying you can disable them so that all you have is the red ring going round the jog only when a song is playing

Actually what i mean was the light for each deck to monitor, dk what u called that.

If your choice is stricktly between these 2, I think the Mixdeck is the better option. Because we always suggest to be sure that you've got some backup-plan in case the computer fails on you, the Mixdeck got this build in. If not used as a controller, the Mixdeck still can play from its build-in CD-players or a connected USB-device.
