So I have a Mac I have bootcamped with Windows 7. I'd love to use the Mac side of things but can't for three reasons. For starters, there are files that can not play on the Mac side that play fine on Windows. I've researched and hope that codecs is not the issue, because then I'd have to re-encode numerous songs and put them back into their respective folders. Secondly, custom skins do not fair well, I check a choppy visual of the waveforms, which to an extent I could care less except that whenever I look at it my eyes seem to override my common sense sometimes and tell my brain the song is off cue. It'd be like listening to the audio of one sports game and watching a different game of the same sport. Third, in Windows, I can separate my playlists into subfolders based on type of playlist, example, Tributes, specific to a genre, year, city, etc etc, well when you get into like 40 playlists or more, its a hassle. Virtual Folders don't help. Can the Mac version recognize subfolders? Am I missing something? I have permissions in my Mac VDJ folder all the way down, so I don't know what else to do.
