Whats up guys, I own two mackie SRM1801'S that are BOTH not working right now.... Im currently looking at purchasing a JBL jrx118sp. Has anyone had any past experience with these subs? Do they sound better than the mackies?

My suggestion would be looking into a QSC sub. They sound WAY better than the two subs you mentioned. I used to be a manager at guitar center and Pro Audio was my lair.... In my honest opinion ANYTHING in JBL's JRX line is garbage. The PRX are ok, but not much better. Mackie's quality has gone down the tubes since the factory moved to china over 10 years ago. I used to see SWA1801's come in all the time damaged still in the box. As for Harbinger, that stuff has NO sound quality what so ever.....

My friends do have a JRX118SP and we usually only use it for a booth sub.

When I do still do sound I am usually running a Meyer rig, but that stuff is quite expensive...

Check out the QSC HPR181i I feel its the best bang for buck for build quality and sound quality.

I have 2 of this, are the best

I'm a mobile DJ I got two of these bad boys but one is more than enough the qsc kw181 that shit rocks the walls man. I haven't even needed to plug in the second one yet!!! Which makes wonder if I should just sell it I wanted two for when I do weddings to have an equal set up but theirs no way In hell I need two 1 is enough to rock more than a 4000 sq ft building. Thats my opinion.

I have a JRX118SP and it is very underwhelming for what you would expect :/ I felt really ripped off after using it for the first time, but now I only use it for really large gigs that need the sub.
