Hi, I very quickly created an account so I can get help on this.
While testing out the Home Edition, I tried playing a specific track (Drop the Monkey by mrSimon) but not only did it play at the wrong speed, static started coming out of my left channel.
I thought it was VirtualDJ's flac decoder being faulty so I quickly transcoded it as AIFF but the static didn't go away.
I'm now left wondering what's the problem with this specific song and how to fix it.
For reference, the track is from here: http://music.mrsimon.co.uk/album/disruptor

VDJ only reads 44Khz tracks "CD quality", if it has a higher bitrate it will cause distortion and mess up the internal timing. It has happend to me in the past, but only with Producer sample packs. VDJ8 will support 192khz songs and soundcards apparently. Use something like audition/audacity to tell what its recorded at, if it's to high you can re-record it in 44Khz in either of those programs.

Not exactly what you said (the track WAS at 44.1 khz) but I retranscoded the track to 16bit samples and it worked again. Thanks.
