My speakers are doing something weird.. It has been humming on the new laptop. I tried different settings until I unplugged the hdmi cable and the hum stops. My speakers have a ground button and it works on the small speakers.. I was wondering if there is a solution to plugging it into the master system at the bar.

The display(s) that the HDMI cable is connecting to is causing a ground loop.
The solution is to use a ground loop isolator on your audio cable(s) - Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Ground%20Loop.html

wow, here was the answer. the support from the laptop producer said " load the new drivers from the sound card start it from fresh and it will stop. It stopped instantly. Learn something new..
