Every time I launch Virtual DJ with the Midi device VMJ4.1 turned on, it completely shuts my computer down. The troubleshooting steps I've tried thus far are as follows:

I have tried to boot the computer up with the midi device on and connected.

I have updated to the latest VDJ software.

The default audio device selected is the midi device.

What else can I try?

The asio driver is installied?
Please don't set the vms as default audio device.
Please change that to your built in soundcard.

Where are the asio drivers?

It worked before, I will say this. The driers should be installed. However it only recently started to do this

Maybe something changed on your system.
Please remove and install the driver again.
You can find it on the American audio website.

I have found that it is also shutting the computer down if the midi board is plugged in and turned on when I start the computer up. I have attempted to reinstall the drivers and the software to no avail. The computer has also been dropped before.

You do not need to quote the post you are replying to. If there are multiple post between yours, it's OK.

It won't stop crashing. I can't follow those steps either because the computer shuts down before it loads up if vms is plugged in.

Try to use the Power Adapter so that its not powered by USB. If it still crashes your computer, try a different one.
If it crashes that computer too, then you need to contact with American Audio Support as probably there is hardware/circuit fault.
