Is there a way to set a pad to play a cue when either the cue pad button itself is held, or when the play button is held.
Say I have cue 1, I want to only play cue 1 when either a pad is being "held" pressed, or when the play/pause button is "held" pressed.

I believe what you want can be done if the hotcueMode is set to "Stutter" from VDJ Settings. When set that way, hotcues will play while the Pad/button is pressed and and stop when released or continue playing if before releasing the Pad PLAY is pressed.

Just found something on pg 16 of the user guide, but setting these settings don't seem to have any noticeable effect, the play button still plays continuously even after depressed.

I think I figured it out.
Load Cue
Hit Play/Pause Once to start playing
Hit Play/Pause Once to pause playing
Press and Hold Start/Cue to play
