Hi there, I hope someone can answer my questions definitively regarding what looks like a good solution for what I am looking to achieve.

What I want to do is:

1. Use VDJ 8 Pro DVS via my Technics SL120mk2 (I will purchase the necessary control vinyl)
2. When using my single deck, use the DJM 250mk2 to switch between the VDJ decks, but using the one control vinyl
3. Connect my laptop to the DJM 250mk2, and use the mixer to control each virtual deck on separate channels (looks like I can set up the channels on VDJ to do this)
4. Use the DJM 250mk2 when playing out in a bar/small club, via timecode CD's (which I will download) to use whatever CDJ's they have, and use those CDJ's to control VDJ8

I realise that the DJM 250mk2 is a proprietary DVS for Pioneer's own DVS software (Rekordbox), but I don't want to use that as I am really comfortable using VDJ8. From my research, it looks like I should be able to achieve the above, but I can't find definite answers, hence coming to the forum for advice.

I'd be happy with 1,3 & 4, but 2 as well will be a bonus !

All advice would be very much appreciated !

Why are you wanting to use DVS/timecode? Are you going to be doing lots of turnablism tricks (scratching etc)?

If not, then I'd suggest using a MIDI controller instead. Even a basic one (cheaper than another turntable) will give you far greater control over VDJ than playing timecode - which is only start/stop and pitch.

Get a controller with DVS capabilities.

Hi there I'm picking up on this again, wanting to know whether I can use DJM250 mk2 as the audio interface for DVS with VDJ8. Really like the feel of vinyl.

Looking to replace controller that already does the job for me.

Apologies I may not have made question clear. Is the Pioneer DJM 250mk2 compatible with VDJ for timecode use I.e. the mixer will be the audio interface

Look forward to hearing from you !

Did you not read the product description on the Pioneer website?

Also, see the answer given in your other thread here.
