paid him big bucks but we all know QBert doesn’t bullshit around!!
Exactly, not paid for at all .. its not a commercial, its Qbert trying out the software, and genuinely being impressed :)
He even been seen around town wearing VirtualDJ t-shirt and all.. Most of these type of DJs are not your "typical local insecure fanboy dj" that says you need to use a mac or else you are not a "real dj", or you need to use software this or that. ;) Like Dj Jazzy Jeff famously said in Red Bull video... "use what works for you, the audience dont care" :)
so I've showed the video off and the questions started up... among them what gear used - computer and specs, what tables, what mixer, and what specific settings in VirtualDJ he was using, etc...
would be nice to have technical details that we can brag on/discuss so that when they say 'we tried that and ti doesn't work' we can answer back with... well... try it like this
I saw this video the other day, although it was great to see, for me I didn’t need any big name Dj to vindicate that I bought and use the best software for me years ago.
But for the marketing side where It will certainly boost the bad rep VDJ attained from years back.
Hopefully it will go a long way quieten down a few of the Serato fan boys.
