Make sure it's supported, plug in USB cable, check if it needs additional drivers from the manufacturer.

And which one is that ? If its the Numark NV i see in your Account stats, make sure you have properly installed the drivers, and check other USB ports as well. If i recall i had the same issue when trying to use USB 3.0 (or was it the opposite ? lol - cant remember - sorry)
