for a given song, the two waveforms look quite different. For sure the default only shows the "positive" half, but even the "mirrored wave" option is still very different from the scratch waveform. Why they are different? What are exactly representing? Aiming at identifying a strong beat, which one you think is more appropriate?

default is legacy content, an approximation of the soundwave, scratch is a more authentic representation.
visually, scratch not being overlaid like default is, is much clearer.
