laptop fujitsu siemens 2010 , 4gb ram with win 10 pro . with vdj 2020 i was more than 12 months with no problems at all , just one day last summer , it stuck for seconds , i played a video from you tube , reopen vdj and no customer found out a thing... 3 weeks ago in october '21 i installed 64bit in pc in order to work 8gb memory (it never worked) and vdj 2021 64bit.. WELL IT STUCKS EVERY DAY . i put back 2020 32 bit played for some hours and no problem. thats my experience .

Yes on a laptop that old you may want to stick with a 32-bit setup
If you choose to go 64 bit OS, and install VDJ2021, you probably need to disable the stems separation feature by setting mathEngine to disabled
