Is there a way how to remove some panels from the Pro view? Namely, I would like to hide FX, User and Loop panels. I assume it is possible with a custom skin (am I right?), but is there some other (simpler) way?

No, you can toggle what information those panels show, but you can't remove them completely.
With a custom skin, almost everything is possible, but it may be overwhelming for users without any experience or some XML / coding background.
However, if you're willing to give it a shot, there are plenty of threads on how to make basic modifications on the default VirtualDJ skin.
Another option would be to find a custom skin that suits your needs better. Most of the popular skins offer plenty of customizations and it is possible to select what's visible and what not.
