All skins support the same browser so I can't see how that would be the case.

I feel ya but I recall a thread/discussion, either here or on a VDJ related video/FB page, of a utlity or some plugin/skin that was more of a file management tool as opposed to a performance interface...but I've been wrong once before...OK maybe more than once.

A thing I made, the broser_zoom variant of it.
A different use case, for a radio guy; first you've got automix as "will play soon/now", sometimes actually auto [for adverts] sometimes manual requests, to the right you have a playlist that holds "will play, not sure when" also for ads that get repeated, [actually karaoke list, but it's just a list]
Custom browser because larger search was wanted. Sideview is "Recent" [played today, shows not 320 in my pic, but my guy has an live updated history file so he can call back what he's played]
You've got more options with the browser than most skinners use, although racks do make a lot of work when creating custom browsers, also it's subjective what's important person to person.
If I was going to make a browser for moving files round, I'd have a full width sideview above, and use lots sideview shortcuts, because you can shift+drag from the song browser, on to a shortcut to move files. Probably the quickest way to do it for me, but I'm my file structure isn't overly specific.
If I was being really specific and needed to access more folders than made sense to make shortcuts for, I'd hold my files to move directory on top and navigate folders the usual way, again shift+drag [on to song window] to move
