Currently, ONINIT / ONEXIT is used within many controller mappings to enable / disable fake_master, fake_hp, and fake_hpmix, depending on if the controller has hardware mixing for those features or not.
However,
1) This unexpectedly breaks main level control when using computer audio outputs, and it's unclear to the user why it's broken. It took me nearly an hour and various forum searching to figure out that plugging in the controller was enabling this "hidden" option.
2) It prevents you from effectively using both computer and the controller audio outputs simultaneously. This is useful when using the computer output for audio, but the controller has a hardware master VU meter.
I'd suggest that these options should be available per output device. "Apply master fader" for master outputs, and "Apply headphone fader" and "Apply headphone mix" for headphone outputs.
