Using factory settings on a Mixtour Pro. I can press the smart loop button (In-Out-Ex) once for in, twice for out, and three times for exit as expected for loops 8 beats or smaller, but when I try pressing out after 8 beats, it registers a new in point and doesn't close the loop as expected. Any help please?

Yes, 8 beats it's the limit for "single button" loop operation.
After 8 beats, the software "thinks" that you made a mistake and you don't want a loop at the original "in" point.
The automatic canceling of the function has to exist, and a choice had to be made for it's size.
IMHO 8 beats is a reasonable size for this.
If you need 16 beats you can use autoloop, or double an 8 beats loop, or use the pads IMHO.

Does anyone know of a way to disable this behavior after 8 beats?
Conceptually, it allows you to delay the choice of an out point, say when you're in the middle of juggling a bunch of other things or don't know how long the loop is you need until you hear the track. I think it's pretty cool VDJ added a feature to help those making mistakes, but it would be very welcome to give us the option of turning that off.

It cannot be disabled/changed at the moment.

workaround:
I replaced the shift function of the smart_loop button to loop_out. So the In-Out-Exit button now becomes In and Exit. Holding shift + In-Out-Exit becomes Out. I lose the autoloop function on the controller, but rarely use that for performances anyhow.
