Possibly because of ram. 512 is really MINIMUM for VDJ as i know.

Anyway.. it is alowed to download TK filter efx with DJC version of VDJ?? not sure...

And i think your CPU could be a bit short for using effects with VDJ. The computer needs to process the sound with the plugin TK Filter V2, it's not just a simple effect like the flanger.

Xeon, in your blog you have two XP optimisation articles, in the first one it says :-

"5) Disable Virtual Memory, Visual Effects, System Restore, Auto Updates, Remote Control, and Error Reporting.

Right-click MY COMPUTER, select PROPERTIES.

Click the ADVANCED tab, click ERROR REPORTING (at the bottom).

Checkmark DISABLE ERROR REPORTING and hit OK.

Under Performance, click SETTINGS.

Select ADJUST FOR BEST PERFORMANCE.

<<<<Click the ADVANCED tab, under Processor Scheduling, select Background Services. >>>>

Under Virtual Memory, click CHANGE.

Select each drive letter shown, and select NO PAGING FILE and press SET.

Hit OK twice.

Click the SYSTEM RESTORE tab, and checkmark the DISABLE SYSTEM RESTORE.

Click the AUTOMATIC UPDATES tab, and uncheck Keep My Computer Up to date.

Click the REMOTE tab, and uncheck both boxes that say Allow (this may already be done).

Hit OK and reboot. "

Yet in the second one it says :-

"1. Processor scheduling should be set to Programs and not to background services. Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Advanced Tab > Programs. "

So which is correct for optimum running of VDJ ?

one is for sound card another one for faster programs running. He doesn't have sound card problems as i know :) He has to look at long one (for WinXP) and he may solve the problem.

What problems do you have? If you want to run VDJ faster look for that guide too.

I don't have any particular problems, I was just reading, but it's odd that one of your guides says set processor priority for programs but the other says set it for background tasks, surely only one can be correct?

For problems with sound cards use priority for background services. For slow VDJ operating use for programs. That's what i read on web. And it works :)

It is CPU that is not enough for Tk Filter, not the ram.
