I've been thinking about organising a UK meeting/party/event for Virtual DJ users and potential users sometime in January 2007. It would be a chance for us to all meet each other, share tips, etc. Also I'd like to get some equipment demos from suppliers etc.
An obvious feature could be a mixing session with chance for forum members to perform and also a battle session if people want. I would be happy to do the organising and could get access to different sizes of venues, from a 7,000 capacity major club to smaller clubs.
I thought a reasonably central place where everyone could travel easily to would be good.
Would be good if DJs could bring their friends, girlfriends, partners, wives, children and whoever to make a good crowd and a party atmosphere.
If you think that this would be a good idea please let me know, either here or in a private message.
As I say I'd be happy to do the organising if there is enough support.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm in Scotland but would be willing to travel if I could get the time off work.

Yeah I'd be up for that! Dunno 'bout London though, it's expensive to stay over and it's impossible to park!

Just to update,
ISo far I've had messages from around 20 DJs around the North and Midland so far who use computers when they DJ (sadly not always VDJ, but the more we can include the better) through a message I put on another forum.
Sugesstions for location so far in emails so far are Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, London.
If anybody wants to join up with me to arrange this I'm not posessive. I just want to have a bit of fun and promote VDJ. I'll give it a couple of weeks to see what interest there is. Anybody who wants their name on the list either PM me or post here.

sounds really good, i personally would probably only be able to make it if it were in london, but not to be selfish, if its not london, then leeds is a very nice city to visit for anyone who could make it.

sounds like a cool idea, im sure most people wud be willign to travel.
Im slowly gettign more and more into VDJ, been using it ages, and finally getting a DJ console to practise with etc, so woudl be cool to meet up with some Pros from the UK :)
