hi guys. i am trying to record my mixes done on Stanton M.333, it's connected to my sound card (Creative SoundBlaster X-FI Fatality) and a Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers

i have 3 problems

1) The mix is only heard on the mixer (headphone) anything i've done on mixer doesn't get recorded or play back properly on my speakers

2) i was trying to record by getting a mini-rca y cable from "RECORD L/R" on mixer to my Line In 2 (Also Microphone in 2)
now i get a loud buzzing sound... and it won't stop until i turn off the mixer :banghead:

3) I can't cue or mixing my 2nd deck in Virtual DJ

my setup:
Stanton M.333 (Phono1) L+R connected to Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatality FPS (Stereophone) and a Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers

WinXP + Running Creative's Audio Creation Mode 4.1 speaker

Virtual DJ 4.1r2 pro - (sound setup: Inputs - None / Output - External Mixer/ Sound card- 4.1)

thank you

to record with this

plug the line from the mixer main output into the line in of your soundcard

you may need dual phono to mini jack cables and on the recording tab choose line in as the recording source :)

i figured it out! turns out the buzzing sound caused by my high eq settings
i also i got it to recorded

seems everything has come together and looks i have a new hobby now hahah

skyxl thanks for all your help

i have so many questions to ask... but maybe you can help me with this

i must have a midi controller to control VDJ's eq right?
then if i get a midi controler (what kind??), hook it up to my mixer, will that work too?

oh i also can't buy the controller from VDJ, i don't have credit card :(

then i guess there is no use of the real mixer?
i wanted to learn from a real mixer
because i am saving up for 2 cdjs
but i guess if it isn't my option
i have to go with another way

i am trying to install my onboard sound (realtek 97' 8 channel)
but for some weird reason after i restart it disappears, all the setup went through ok though... wtf?

basically im trying to find a way to set each decks to one card and another
then i can hook up hook to the mixer PHONO1 (SB X-Fi) and PHONO2 (Realtek AC97)
so i will be able to mix on LEFT DECK (PHONO1) and on RIGHT DECK (PHONO2)
will that work?

thanks for your help, i'm a total noob at this but i am also learning a lot

I am having an issue with playback on Virtual dj 7 pro, i hear everything that i do in the recording. Is there anyway to filter out my practice scratches/mixes and only hear what is live. I have a CDM6000 with a Numark IO sound card, input setting is none, output setting is external mixer using asio drivers.
