I have been going through all the suggested XP tweaks.
I have noticed that some people recommend Processor Scheduling Programs and others recommend Background Services?
Which method is the best?

services mode is for servers where processes such as dns or active directory need more resources

I understand that idea and agree with you.
However, on that windows video under the Forum : Hardware Technical Support - How to solve issues with bad sound etc.....
DJcel's post with the video says to check Background Services??
Could it affect your sound and sound card??

depends , it is true that soundcards and video run as services

i think the trick is to put it on 'programs', but then if you have problems with the sound, put it on 'backgroud services' :)

Use "background services" if you have an external USB sound card for example.

Be careful the most important thing is not "services" but "background"
Don't make confusion with Windows services
