Currently using laptop for VIDEO and audio with
EXTERNAL SOUNDCARD (firewire)
TIME CODE CDs
PIONEER CD PLAYERS (CDJ 1000)
CLUB"S MIXER
I originally did all this becuase I needed the feel of CD players with platters to DJ video and mp3.
WITH so many unbelievable problems between
firewire and external soundcard, timecode and external CD players,
Now I just need thngs working.
WHICH PIECE DO YOu RECOMMEND that WOULD ELIMIATE the EXTERNAL SOUNDCARD, TCCD, Pioneer CD players and has more than just play and stop buttons, but has the most feel of CD platters or the largest jog wheels?
I need to continue to use the club's mixer. Is this possible? And also to cue on club's mixer
USB would be the best source.
Also is the soundcard in the unit you recommend unit a real good one, as this is to be used in large club venues.
XP10? where is the sound powered by (internal soundcard?)

DOES THIS vestax have a soundcard built in?
It seems that the way things are headed is towards controllers, controlling your software that also have soundcards and MIDI capabilities. THis would eliminate timecode and external players (for those not caring to use vinyl and can deal with a slightly smaller platter for backspinning) and eliminating external soundcard expense and problems (firewire, trying to track down USB soundcards, etc...)
WHat equip has all this other than the XP 10's right now????

The Hercules DJ Console, Behringer BCD2000 and D-Vinyl 2020 (No-longer manufactured) are the only other controllers that I know of that have built-in sound cards.
