I didn't want to be one of the many crack users... (cracked version haha) so after using and testing 3.4 , I found that it did a pretty good job for my karaoke show and I could only imagine with a little work, I could do a good show for a special funtion. Yet when I got the new skin... I said oh no.
the skin was more cluttered and while I don't need the huge turn tables , I could really use the larger buttons like Play/pause, stop , Cue , Beatmatch . I also noticed the gain/ volume knobs... not good for me, the sliders were much easier to grab in a rush, Pitch on the side of the turntable was basically the same in both old and new version.
I did find a Pro default but I really need a Cue button... I use it on every karaoke song to avoid the 7 second silent tag on the front of each song (this is why I went with your software and not sax n dotty , which is a great standard and runs the entire show, yet it has that single player dead air.
In the playlist , or songs in my waitlist... I like the fact that i can make a good list and then as the songs are played, they turn red and go to the bottom,(there are times when i might change a song and loose it, so i just look at the bottom and there it is) this helps me to manage the singers and to see when they sang in the rotation to be as fair as possible (there didn't seem to be an option to "show new songs" in the latest version.
I do like the darker background over the standard blue.
I would love a larger font.
can you address as many of these issues as possible. I realize that those who use your software for karaoke purposes are the minority and that the vast majority of DJ's are using this for mixing, scratching, video mixing (which is amazing) I've been DJing for 25 years and hope to continue entertaining with the karaoke shows, I have some great singers. I will be using a DAC2 currently but will hopefully go to the new Numark DMC2

I am still using v-mix 1 for most instances. ALthough the newer skins are excellent,
this one seems to work best for my needs.

bogart, thanks for your suggestion. The Vmix skin had the larger video windows which i really liked for my application and i found a couple variations... yet there was a second smaller window that opened below called virtualdj (2) , it seemed to have the controls like play pause, fader , but it would not function and would simply disappear at times.
i did find some of the keyboard short cuts. like to cue song , P, P again for pause and then cue... there wasn't anything else to bump in up or back unless i changed the skin to one of those turntables , correct? (I'm sure there is a keyboard shortcut but i need this to be ultra simple when i leave for vacation and trust someone to handle my shows.
I believe if i could get the play pause cue beatlock , funtions to work ... this skin might work well. In my karaoke , its not near as hard as you guys djing in a club, I just need to be able to select song, cue it up around 6 sec to avoid dead air tag, and then hit auto fade Alt/ space.

You can download the single instance version of that skin and the Virtual DJ 2 won't be there.

I'll take a look into that , I also need some help with saving cues.... before when i cued a song and then used it the next night... the cue was still there... which was very helpful. is there a way to refresh the playlist... I was practicing with several song and then wanted to change their order... and make them new again.
