Everytime I form a playlist of random songs, a playlist forms titled the date when the playlist was made (ie. 10/10/04.) Is there anyway to turn that off?

I liked it before when just a text file was created. I understand it's use but I too think it is rather annoying....

I like the autoplaylist feature.
Most of the created playlist are not usefull but some are important.
I have some subfolders in the playlist folder to organize and
archive them.
It is like a record of my events.
Last night i had a very successful gig, i'll keep this playlist
like a refference for the next saturday, not that i will play
the same songs again in the same order, but it may help...
It's a bonus.
If you don't want to see the playlists, keep in mind, the playlist folder is just a "favorite" folder, you can just delete
(deactivate) this favotite folder.

Apopsis is right.
It could be very useful.
And it doesn't much matter your subfolders organisation; if you want to group a few songs together this option is very simple to use.
This way, like apoppsis, you have instantly the tracks you want for your sequence.

I can see how it would be useful but I have no use for it and find it rather annoying. Can somebody tell me how to turn that off?

I too have tried and have not figured out a way. Again, there used to be a text file which I used many times and thought that was terrific. Then with 2.0 they went to this new way. For me, a mobile DJ, I have no real use for it. I have premade my playlists so these date created playlists of what I played that day just got in the way. I have found a way around them mixing with other playlists. I created a playlist 2 folder within the playlist folder. This way, the created playlists are outside of that folder and I just open the playlist 2 folder for my playlists. Try it. It eliviates the confusion. Then, just delete the date created playlists when needed. My wish would be an assignable folder for these that would not show up under the playlists. This way they are always there when you need them but not in the way.

and make your playlist2 folder as favorite.

I tried before and wasn't able to deactivate the playlist folder. Kept coming back...

It's working for me.
Tested again:
De-activated the playlist folder (right click - remove from favorite)
PS. dont delete the folder from hard disk with explorer

It works once but when I restart the program it's back... then i have to do it again
