As a user of BPM Studio for DJ-ing, and Sax and Dotty and KJ-ing for a number of years, I have been considering the change to a combined programme, really just so that I don't have to chop and change between screens when doing disco-karaokes. In terms of my needs, I know this will upset the purist DJs, but I have little need for beat matching and creating loops - good searching, fade-ins and playlist access and even key changing, are probably more important to me when gigging! I have been doing my own trial comparisons of PCDJ and VDJ for a week now, and am still not convinced the change is worth it.
1) Can any of you guys who have made the change, tell me why you did?
2) There is one issue with VDJ which I wonder if any other user has noticed when doing karaoke.
The key change buttons are labelled in semitones, but I think they are much less than that. Any views? Am I missing something obvious?
