Most people would say that the ban is a good thing. The only down side I have found is that the venues now don't stink of smoke any more but they do suffer from B,O. No comments about the class of venue I frequent please!
At least with a Hazer you can add some fragrance or other. TeHe

(...who just happened to follow the Irish lead....ahem... lol)

Haven't some of the States already banned indoor smoking in all public places, regardless of whether there's food prepared or consumed there?
I used to enjoy a fag...er..cigarette when having a pint in Chicago any time I visit, but now it's just like here - gotta smoke outside! Don't know if it's the whole State of Illinois though or just the parts I visit!

(Not yet a reformed smoker....but still thinking about it :-))

In all of my venues I cannot use a fog machine and have not invested in a hazer because no one will state with 100% accuracy that it will not set off the smoke detectors. Bubble Machines present a whole new hazard....slippery floors = falling drunk adults. Great for outdoor events, especially with small kids or a small burst for the flower girl.
