I think I've made up my mind to purchase the VDJ. Got a question first...if I purchase it online, how can I load it to both my laptop and desktop? I'd like to have it on both so I can play around with VDJ on the desktop, and use the laptop for shows.

Well, as any other file you copy the virtualdjsetup.exe (.dmg for mac) to a
usb key or burn it to a cd/dvd, and put it on another computer and install.
Simple as that.
Or, connect to this website with both machines and download it seperately.

That seems easy enough. I wasn't sure if an activation code could only be used, if this software requires one..

Nop, only a valid serial number. And the license allows you to have the software
installed on two computers at the same time (if the owner uses them).
