Was piddling w/ the Denon and having several samples playing at same time. Then, BOOM. Bounced....

Captured the info and will paste here. I was logged on, but don't think was VDJ fault.

Hi I have had exactly the same happen to me. Bought the Denon MC6000MK2 controller last week and am on Windows 8.1 x64 new HP PC and the same, it is not Virtual DJ 8 as I also have Serato and the same thing blue screen after about 30 mins same message too! Must be a bug in the driver on the MK2 really annoying! Anyway really enjoying Virtual DJ 8 wished I had got it a few years back having had Traktor and Serato!

This is happening more with Windows 10. Had no issues before then :-(

I get an "Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal ddjctraud.sys" error and BSOD....

Uninstalled and re-installed etc...

I changed which USB port my controller was plugged in to and it seems to have stopped crashing.

I was plugged in to a USB3.0 Hub and now I'm straight in to the PC...

Have you checked the Asio drivers are compatible with Windows 10. Judging by the error above it would seem not.

Denon have never been quick at that sort of thing ......

In speaking to an InMusic rep this weekend, the ASIO drivers are not yet compatible with Windows 10. The latest drivers on the Denon on the website were last updated 11/2013.

From what I understand, the drivers will be updated around the time of the Denon MC4000 controller's release, which is early September.

Typical Denon. Great products but shit backup!

Just use WDM instead, problem solved.

Not exactly, but it may be a work around.
When not using "Denon DJ ASIO for Dj Controllers" drivers, MC6000MK2 suffers a few other issues, but at least it won't crash!

Really regret making this purchase now... :( What is out there in similar price point that has the same form factor (rack mount) that plays nice w/ VDJ and Windows?

Don't regret the purchase. The 6000MK2 is an amazing controller. Just wait about a week or two and the new drivers will be released!

I've un-installed the ASIO driver and changed the audio settings so my sound card uses WASAPI instead....

So far so good. I'll update later today if I have no crashes :-)

I have used WDM (WASAPI) with the MC6000 Mk1 since the start (which is probably over 4 years now) and had no problems whatsoever.

The Denon Asio drivers are poorly written and troublesome, however I use Asio with the Pioneer DDJ-SX2 and it works perfectly ......

WASAPI works with MC6000MK2 as well. However, some functionality (such as query initial device status) is NOT available if ASIO drivers are not present.
