I dont understand what you mean - in the last version I never saw or heard the songs drifting. now i have to keep nudging the songs forward to keep it in time... are you saying that the songs have always drifted off - its just now the bpm counter responds to it?

I've noticed similar issues with my cdj 1000mk3 as the updates occur. I also use just one cdj like you. With this update 6.0 i've actually moved my pitch on cdj to +0.02 and it keeps time with deck 2. So if I had it on 0.00 like it would supposedly be for them to stay in sync, then deck 2 increases in speed by +0.02 (using all my fingers and toes with that calculation). Def interested in topic and wiling to help where needed to fix.
Also DJMARZE, not sure if u would know but the timecode cd I use has 2 tracks of time code (track 1, track 2) to maximise time of control before I would need to go back to track 1. When cdj finished track 1 and went to track 2 I would still have same control and the mp3 on deck 1 would not pause or skip in that time (between track 1 and 2). Now post V6.0 when cdj goes from track 1 to track 2 of timecode, the mp3 will pause for approx 2 secs while track 2 loads. I'm attempting to use similar defaults i.e relative smart setting. Have / had u used a similar set up? If so does yours have similar outcome??

Hey Bish, i will try adjust the pitch on my turntable to +0.2 and see if it works, cheers for the tip.
I havent had a chance to use CDJ with VDJ6 yet because I'm a vinyl junkie! but have you try using Reletive Mode and assume you have autocue disabled so it automatically carries on to the next track? If not it may just mean you need to restart the cd after each song - which is annoying I know and hard to remember - I am getting into the habit of starting the vinyl at the start before each song - I hate goign to scratch and nothing happening because the needle has run off the vinyl!
Also did you burn the CDs without the 2 second gap? Don't knwo if this would make a difference - especially if the issue is only happening now with VDJ6. . . let me know how you get on and I'll let you know if I come up with anything.
Cheers for the +0.2 tip, can't cait to try it out!

Hi all. Not sure what the exact fix was as the only things I did was install version 6.01, check I was set for quality instead of latency and everything is fine!!! No pause between 2 tracks and no variation between decks!!!
I hope others have a simple solution as well, good luck!!!

I got back into DJing a few months ago after a 20 year break. I purchased the Numark BattlePak which came with the Numark tt1625 Turntables and I thought they were the problem with the BPM difting off after I manually beat-matched them. I decided to go big and got a pair of Technics 1200 MK2's off of Craigslist. While this fixed some of the beat drift there was still enough there after manual matching to throw the mix off relatively quickly during the mix. I took a previous bit of advice and turned off the "Key Lock" function on the main screen of my 5.2.1. I also switched the master tempo from fast to advanced and made the values in the boxes zeros. this seems to have helped tremendously.
Now, I need to go find the string that discusses why the time codes stop being recognized after about 10 minutes. I saw it in here somewhere. Off to hunt for that now.
Setup: AMD 3600+ Processor (Win XP Pro)
2GB Ram
VDJ PRO 5.2.1
VV box
X's 2 - Technics 1200 MK2 with M-47 cartridges
Serato Vinyl (only because I can buy them locally)

[quote=djqwikcut]if I go into time code config and play the time code.. the slider on my CDJ is at "0" .. I can see the 2 circle moving and in the right hand top corner of the window where the circles are moving is a 0.0 .. every so often I see it go to -0.5, -0.2, 0.0, -0.5, -0.8, 0.0 .. etc.. its never the same numbers.. because it is doing this, when you are beat mixing it IS drifting and can does not stay on beat.
How do I resolve.. I have spent the last few hours adjusting all the time code settings.. NOTHING will fix the drifting... This never happened in 5.07 and lower versions but started when 5.1 came out..

I,m having that same issue i also use the numark 1625 with total control and the virtual vynl soundcard .any help?

Just letting you know I played a private gig on the weekend and those problems discussed started creeping back in. I honestly have not given it enough tweeking time to see if my settings are wrong. Will keep at it tomorrow to see if I can get it sorted before playing this weekend.

yup - that was the first thing i changed - that's what the setting was on in VDJ5.2.1. But that didnt fix anything in VDJ6- but haven't noticed it drifting as much now - i have spent ages on the debug menu and adjusting those knobs! but think i have sorted everything!

Does anyone see a fix for this? Im going to try the "0" thing BUT I dont think thats going to fix the issue. HELP!!!

My Serato Scratch Live records also make the BPM drift around. While playing a song will jump around + or - 4 bpm, creating very hard and choppy mixes, i have to hold Shift + Space to keep them beatlocked which I really dont think I should need to do. Everything is fine, needles are brand new, my Maya 44 USB is tucked away nice and safe from any electronics...its really annoying.

It helps if you post more info about your settings (pics are better -- use the camera button to add them straight into the edit box -
) ... telling us that is happens is one thing ... knowing your settings helps more.
btw, if you move the left/right balance knob just 1 little bit to the left does it change the result?

what I want to know is WHY was 5.07 100% perfect... no drifting.. but since 5.1 this drifting issue has been there.. virtual DJ doesnt seem to think there is any issue now.. they tell me its normal... I dont thing so. they havent responded to my ticket update yet....
COME ON VIRTUAL DJ.. I might need to either go back to 5.07 or switch to something else if this cant be resolve.. I tried 6.01 last night and the same issue and now the pitch would move +5 even when my CDJ was at zero..

Hi djqwikcut and all.
Instead of trying to fix your setup i will post my setting that work at least for me.
Setup: 2x cdj-800, Maya44usb, Vdj timecode cd's... so same with yours as i can see.
-First i mainly use Smart-relative TC mode, so if you use absolute change to smart for now.
-Pitch sensitivity: keep the default 500 ms, its normal to see unstable pitch % on the skin if you set 0ms.
-Leadtime : Set this to 0, TC this correct a cue offset, (when you go to cue from software and timecode try to start the song from the beginning).
Now be sure to use vdj timecode on cd's.
For serato mode yes for now there is a known problem, that can produce drifting and probably will fixed in next version(s), so be sure to use Vdj timecode cd and mode (in Tc options also)
Now we assume that all your cables etc are ok, signal 100% etc., so we don't need to change enything else like invert phase or stereo.
These should be used if you don't get 100% signal or inverted TC signal.
disable Clear sound better leave it unchecked, (but it doesn't matter), and maybe better to check the disable antiskip, not sure about this.
About the "silence" slider leave it to default unless virtual deck and waveform keeps spinning when you stop the timecode.
ok for now, try these, next step will be to post a screenshot from your TC/debug settings.
Ps. i will be away for the next few days, so good luck.
I will check this post next week.

Why will people not post the Configuration pics???
It's great you can demonstrate that it jumps ... but how about some picks of how you have things configured ... ??
