Thanks for the input Gangz1 but i never had a problem with drifting before 6.0.1, but havent had any issues with drift afte setting the TImecode to relative Smart - i also had a reply stating that serato vinyl are not 100% combatable with 6.0.1 and the new timecode engine yet. all good though i still prefer VDJ over serato any day!

I had drift with VV as well. I only use Serato vinyl because I can pick it up locally. I am using 5.2.1 Pro. I loaded the trial of VDJ 6 and still had drift. I will NOT be updating at this time as I am afraid the problem will come back and won't be fixable. I'm good for now. lol

I wish someone would fix it on 6.01.. Version 5.07 doesnt have the issue.. HOWEVER... I installed it on another computer this past weekend that has a FIREPOD (firewire interface) and the numbers on the timecode that seem to drift do not!.. do I wonder if it is the maya 44 usb and VDJ that has an issue....

Possible, all the users I follow and having drifting have a Maya44 USB
In the VirtualDJ Sound setup , do you select the Maya44 icon (direct way) or use normal way and select the sound card in the list ?
Ultra-latency ASIO option?

I use M-audio Conectiv with CDJ1000 and been having this issue also, but after long hours of tweaking i've found that having my pitch sensitivity @ 200.3ms has cure the problem in my case for now.
Weird thing is that support recommended to raise the pitch sensitivity to 2000ms (which i've always thought was the right way by keep raising the number when drifting) but in my case was the opposite.

You have written to have 100% but is it all the time? Because I have the feelings it's at 100% most of the time but it coul fall at a value below 70% sometimes which could explain your drifting problem.
Could you confirm me this lost of timecode signal in the time?
(A little video following the % timecode quality + signal would be great if possible)

I dont hve a way to make a video when I am at a GIG... Thats really the only time I have my system set up. I left the time code play for the entire length and it stayed on 100% but it drifts when mixing and you have to ride the slider on the CDJ.. what I want to know is what was different in 5.07 that it DIDNT drift?
I even tried the newest maya 44 USB drivers..

Just for some insite here I don't use a Maya sound card. I use the virtual vinyl interface. My Time Code signal is 100% most of the time, but not ALL of the time. I checked to see if that was where the drift occurred. Too hard to verify. The signal loss was only for a split second. I can say that I can now mix songs without problems other than having to overcome wow and flutter that comes with ALL turntables. But we've been mixing that way for decades and have managed to put together mixes with no problem. To solve the problem (in my case at least) by simply setting the pitch sensitivity and lead time to zero indicates to me there is a glitch in the software. Seems to be trying to "keep up" with something internally.

I put any of those settings at "0" as then the pitch doesnt work correctly. HOWEVER, Since I have been mixing since 1985 I know how to RIDE the pitch. What I want to know is WHY does the pitch work 100% with NO drifting with the TIME CODE engine in 5.07 but ever since 5.1 and 5.2 and now 6 then has been an issue...

Lets see the facts from the start..
I gave an answer previously possibly based on wrong data, so i need to re-check.
-Can you please clarify what exactly do you mean by say drifting ?
[and thats only for the sound, forget about all the visuals and computer screen]

By drifting I mean I will be mixing a song... and its mixing dead on.. without riding the pitch, the mix starts to drift... Nothing on the screen shows its drifting.. the pitch didnt change, the bpm didnt change.. NADA.. I have to ride the pitch on the CDJ800's to get it back in beat. On 5.07, I didnt have to do this.. it would stay where I have it...

My drifting was similar to djqkwikcuts, except that I could see the BPMs bouncing on the screen +/- on both decks. No matter how hard you work to beat match, as the mix progresses the songs/mix fall apart. Tons of feathering or pitch riding required to keep them together. Makes the mix sound horrible. I too have been mixing for a long time. My problem is solved. But I'll participate in order to help get this problem solved for all. It is very very very frustrating.

Thank you.
Let me first say that we cannot reproduce this kind of drifting in our tests.
(And without reproducing there is nothing to fix....)
So let's make one step at the time.
For now please do this :
- Deactivate Master tempo/keylock on both virtual dj and timecodes (cdj-800)
- Load the same track on both decks and play both decks synced/cloned.
- Don't use the clone command (just in case), sync / clone the tracks manually.
- Let the timecode pitch slider at 0%
You should hear a chorus/phase effect it is normal.
We need to know if the track(s) stay in sync at the end of the time.
Post your specs (what timecode used / timecode players / soundcard) along.
I personally did this on 5min songs using both serato and virtual dj timecodes and found no drifting at all
or a small not noticeable drift at the end of the 5 min time that is normal because of the spinning motors.
I used: 2x cdj-800 (virtual dj and serato timecode cd's, maya44usb, my ears...
Ps. please avoid posts like "bring the old version back", as they want help at all at this point.
If someone -for whatever reason- needs an older version because it work better for him please let us know and we will make it available.

i also tried vdj with timecode on my cdj 800, and I have the same problems. I can match the beats but it stays in beat for only a few seconds and then drifts. Same problem as the original poster.
Ive checked out tracktor, but really like vdj. Which version of VDJ will solve this? Or, how long will we have to wait?

well i got the new 6 ver. and it does the same thing. i am using a Maya 44 and dz1200s. with the 6 version it starts to sound like its rewinding and fast forwarding when i stop the turntable i mean as soon as i hold the turntable its starts and it doesnt stop until i let the table start spinning again and if i just stop the whole platter it starts and wont stop. 6 needs to be fixed so i went back to the other one i had and now no problems.

Your issue is different then what we are experiencing here.. Your problem is probabl;y due to the time code not configured correctly.... I had to totally re-configure my time code when I went to 6...

Yes it looks like your silence knob is not well set. Double click on it.
