I maintain my music tracks on an external HDD. I know that VDJ maintains an XML database on that drive for all the tracks.
What I can't seem to pin down is how and when VDJ updates the database.
I often start a set knowing I've added new songs, but the only way to find them is to navigate to the folder first - search will then work after that.
I've even tried re-indexing the whole database from within config, but this doesn't always work.
I've also tried removing and adding the drive from the Search DB - from the browser - again with limited effect.
The next step will be to remove the .VDJ database completely and re-build from scratch.
What would be nice, is a standalone utility that could re-build the database without having to start VDJ, that way the database can be built from any PC and not just the DJ PC.

WHY DOES MP3 WITH ACCENTS DONT READ AND GIVE A ERROR BUT WHEN I GO TO THE MP3 FILE REMOVE THE ACCENT THEN IT WORKS
