I'm using the stratons cdj's, maya 44 interface and of course vdj so if i'm spinning a track on cdj 1 and then i mix in cdj 2 do I have to always restart the timecode track back the beginning on cdj 1 to mix the next song?
should i or could i load more than the one timecode 12min track on the cd for use in the cdj? will that make a difference. I was watching another local dj using serato this weekend and he never seem to restart the cdj track. seem he just loaded the next track and kept it moving.

I burned six timecode tracks on my cd and it works great. Remember you will not have control 12 seconds at the end of every track (this is called the time runout feature or something). Also make sure you choose SMART mode on your timecode settings.

12 tracks? ok did that fill your Cd up?
by doing such does it just flow into the next track so you can keep working the mix with out restarting the track each time.
thanks for the end of the track info also...i didnt know that maybe because I never let it go that far before I mix in the next song.
Ive been trying the different settings because I have a lag time from action on the cdj to reaction thru the program.
does anyone have any suggestion on the setting

No, it's 6 tracks per cd and yes it flows right to next one at least for me. Then again you have to set your cd player to do so.
With your other situation, try lowering the latency in your soundcard. I don't use the maya but maybe someone else could walk you thru it.

ok thanks champ...Im going to try to burn a full cd with the timecode track on it and see how that works for me as far as just mixing and not always having to restart the 1 12min track, that can be a blower.
sometime i was hit to restart the track and the count goes back to the top but the track on the vdj program doesnt...then you load the next track it loads from the last track spot of play and you arent at the top of your track of course.
had this happen to me in the mic I was like WTF ...couldnt shut down...so I had the other in house dj come up in the other sound booth off the song i was playing, he mixed in I mixed out rebooted my whole setup wasnt sure what the problem was so no time for troubleshooting, came back up and blended back in the mix from my man joint in the booth.
work this night but if I was solo I would have been ...well you know...lol
Ive been messing with differenet levels and they are sinc up more and more...I guess one just have to keep and keep working until one lucks up and write it down..lol

That sound it like a wild night.....Glad you worked it out.
Also i forgot to mention in the timecode setting click and check (i believe) Smart Cue, i think it will help you with the situation you described.
It took a while to set my CDJ's the way i want it to, you know playing with the settings. But trust me is worth it now i have a program that works 100% every time i use it.
PM me if you have any other questions.........
Good Luck
