Hi guys
Due to the economic downturn,i will be out of a job as from 1/01/09,what a bummer!So i have decided to start my own mobile DJ business,firstly i wanna concentrate on house parties then as time goes by i start looking for gigs at clubs.I have the following equipments
CD players2 numark ICDX
Mixer Numark DXM01
Speakers Yamaha MSR400 powere speakers
Sub-wooofer Eltax.
I wanted to get any tips and tricks to be a successful mobile DJ.

Contact the Larger companies in your area and present yourself as a sub-contractor.
You'll need to have a good working relationship with at least 4 larger operations to help you get giging straight away and to make sure your maximum amount of dates filled.
If you can find one a sales agent is a great thing. It will cost you some cash for commissions, but a good salesman is worth his weight in commissions.
Register with your local Internet telephone directory to get your company listed in the yellow pages/business directory.
