can anyone tellme why i have to higher the gains up before mixing two songs in to get the volumes right.also tried different settings still have crackling in the sound.also when i try to loop out the sound stutters

go into config on VDJ and perfomance and untick Safe mode and Overclock and put the presets down to the left, that will sort out the juddering and the crackling.
If the crackling pursists then the usual case is cause of the earth for the RMX or computer so best getting a Ground loop isolator, and that will sort it out ;)
